Growing up in Connecticut I transplanted to Philadelphia in 1975 to continue my education. I am the child of an educator mother, and an engineer/amateur-photographer father. My strengths, skills and interests probably derive more from my father. I love technology and my attraction to photography has endured since owning a Brownie camera too far back to mention. Working in medicine provided an education on being (a healer) human but left me little time, until retirement, to pursue the art of photography in more depth. I’m attracted to strong lines, details, colors, and shapes, more recently the strength of monochrome photography. I fill my photos with as much detail as possible. Architecture is instantly gratifying, adding whatever in my surroundings surprise and visually grabs my attention. I’ve no aversion to photo manipulation but only to reproduce what I'm seeing at that moment. Whatever the subject, I want to take others along with me on this visual ride.
