Digital photographic collage. The collage elements start from a monoprint from a gel plate, onto this I created a 6 image emulsion transfer of a harbor. This collaged paper was scanned and I digitally imposed a digital photograph I took of the Golden Horn in Istanbul. I made adjustments in photoshop to create the final image to my liking.

Each frame of the emulsion transfer offers a distinct view, akin to a portal to another layer. Vibrant hues from the gelatin print, and intricate details provided by the digital photograph invite contemplation of portals and the city's history. This is a limited edition C-Print on archival paper. Printing is completed at artist's specifications for color etc. Signed and numbered. This is number 3 of an edition of 20.
